The Robustel R5020 5G router supports global 5G, 4G and 3G bands. The R5020 uses a high performance CPU platform and the RobustOS operating system. The R5020 is compatible with the latest release of 3GPP and is targeted at in-vehicle applications, digital signage, CCTV, Broadband failover and primary Broadband cellular networks.
It is supplied with 4 x elbow joint 5G paddle antennas with SMA connections so these can be easily replaced with external 5G antennas in instances where the router is installed in a location with poor 5G network signal.
Robustel R5020 5G IoT Industrial Cellular Router

5G Antennas For Robustel R5020 5G Router
The RObustel easily supports the connection of alternative 5G antennas. The router uses industry standard SMA connectors so the supplied 5G blade antennas can be replaced with an outdoor directional or omni-directional antenna is the signal is better outdoor. If the router is enclosed in a metal cabinet, whether used indoors or outdoors then a 5G Dome antenna may be suitable to ensure the router receives a strong 5G network signal.
Becuase the R5020 has 4 x SMA antenna connections it is wise to ensure that a 4×4 MiMo 5G antenna is used, or 4 x individual antennas. We always recommend that a 5G router with 4 x antenna connections has all four antennas connected.
Omni-Directional Outdoor 5G Antenna
If you are using the Robustel R5020 Industrial 5G router as an office router or maybe for use in a temmporary office structure such as a construction site office or Portacabin then you may want to use an Omni-Directional Outdoor 5G antenna such as the Panorama DWMM4-6-60-5SP. This high gain, 4×4 MiMo 4G / 5G antenna is supplied pre-terminated with 4 x 5m long cables and can be easily installed on a wall or pole on the outside of the building where there is a much stronger cellular network signal compared to the location of the router installed indoors.
Outdoor Directional 5G Antenna
The Panorama WMM4G-6-60-5SP is an outdoor, high gain, directional 5G antenna that can be used in instances where your Robustel 5G router is on the edge of a 5G signal and you need a directional pattern antenna to receive the 5G signal from a particular base station. It is only recommended as an antenna solution if you know the location of the 4G / 5G base station through a thorough site survey and can get a 5G signal within 100m on the antenna installation.
5G Dome Antenna
The Fullband FB4X4MIMO is one of the most popular 5G antennas for use with Industrial 5G routers such as the Robustel R5020. These industrial routers are often installed inside metal data cabinets, kiosks or metal contraction street furniture or digital display boards and the metal enclosure blocks the 4G and 5G network signal. The FB4X4MIMO 4×4 MiMo 5G antenna provides a robust, vandal proof solution that can be hole mounted on the top of the cabinet and deliver high quality signal to the Robustel R5020 router. The 5m long cables are usually sufficient to enable the cables to be neatly installed inside the cabinet along the inside roof and sides to the router.
